Fees

Private and state assisted stays are welcome. There are no hidden charges. Please contact our admin department for latest fees and packages.

Packages

  • Residential continuing health care, respite and day care are offered. Provided by committed and suitably trained social care staff. Private fees can be negotiated.
  • Compassionate end of life care. Fully disabled friendly.
  • A Quality Assurance Internal Audit system is maintained. Recent inspection reports are available on request.
  • Registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission ensures maintenance of high standards.

  • Beachcomber is a family home which enjoys panoramic sea views and has the advantage of 2 quiet garden areas.
  • A variety of accommodation is provided for 48 residents. Beachcomber companion rooms, all with central heating and hand-wash basins, and are mainly en suite.
  • Traditionally furnished to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere and conform to all Fire and Safety Regulations.
  • Smoking for residents and visitors is restricted to a designated area.
  • Bathrooms and w.c.´s. are fully adapted for disabled use and access to the first floor is by hydraulic lift.

Beachcomber Care

The professionalism of our trained staff is paramount. They achieve high standards of care by using a relaxed approach to individual problems, encouraging families to take an active part in that care. Day to day caring and support by our Social Care Workers and Ancillary staff is carefully supervised to a high standard.
  • Trained staff provide 24 hour care. Residents are encouraged to meet their own levels of independence. Intervention is only at their request, or when their personal safety is at risk.
  • Beachcomber directors are dedicated to the training of all staff to ensure these high standards are continued by taking full advantage of NVQ opportunities available.
  • Medical supervision is continued as at home by the resident’s own GP. ~ visits by request

Beachcomber Meals

Beachcomber staff are fully trained by Apetito. Staff attend regular refresher training with Apetito, updating skills to ensure high catering standards are maintained.
  • Meals are provided in the dining room at 8.00am. 12.30 and 6pm.
  • Our cooks provide, and try to cater to all tastes. They are trained to provide nourishing balanced meals with attention to special diets. All have Food Handling Certificates as required by the Department of the Environment.
  • We recognise the importance of nutritious and appetising meals. Beachcomber are now using well respected award winning Apetito Catering Solutions catering company.
  • Refreshments for residents and visitors are available in the dining room throughout the day and night. We encourage our residents to continue their normal routine day as at home.Those who need assistance with feeding are attended to discreetly.
